Lonely nights when
Waking up is the last thing you
Want even when the
Risk of night terrors could have
You screaming into the night.

It's about sex, drugs, and
Even more sex because love doesn't
Exist in a world like ours.
We'll spend our whole lives waking
In different strangers' beds
Until we find one that smells like home.

It's about growing up too fast and
The pursuit of happiness.
Coloring outside the lines.
Fighting the system and breaking the rules.

It's about stardust
And seashells
And magic.
Dreaming, wishing, and kissing.

This poem is about the fat girl who still manages to call herself beautiful.
The drug addict who still has a family to go home to.
The widow who can still smile for his children each day.
The rebel who strives to be different.
The child who's always wanted to fly
And the young poet who dreams of changing the world.}
